Recognition highlights Chapel Hill-based education company’s dedication to sustainability and contributions to North Carolina’s environmental and economic health
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Feb. 1, 2024 — Participate Learning, a leader in providing education solutions to K-12 schools, has received an Outstanding Service Award for Visionary Leadership from the North Carolina Sustainable Business Council (NCSBC). This award recognizes the organization and CEO David Young for seeing beyond short-term, market-driven actions, demonstrating an outstanding commitment to sustainable business practices and serving as a role model for others.
“It is an honor to be recognized alongside other North Carolina sustainability leaders,” Young said. “Our greatest sustainability impact can be found in the teaching philosophy and practices of our partner teachers. Across all of our partnerships, teachers help students to develop real-world competencies and skills that empower learners to take action in their communities.”
